A giant exhibit at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., explores how types of transportation have changed the United States. You can find a steam locomotive, Erie Canal souvenirs and old cars there.
The Smithsonian is called “the nation’s attic” because of all the different pieces of history in it. This exhibit shows more than 1,000 of them. It also features interactive tours, games and videos.
